Degree From Eastern University.
For over 25 years Eastern has been the world's leading institutional force in Graduate Economic Development Programs and is one of the first programs to deliver a Non Profit Management program geared towards working professionals. This year we launch our US based Organizational Leadership program which we have run successfully overseas for several years. Eastern University's SLD is entrepreneurial in the creation and delivery of educational programs that build capacity in the leadership and development marketplace.
Our global experience, holistic approach, integrated curriculum and committed faculty and staff has created a distinct educational experience which we seek to impart and deliver to every one of our students - the "Eastern Way".
The School of Leadership & Development is the de facto body tasked with delivering programs of consequence around the world. Our graduates, delivery methods and pioneering efforts have helped over a million people in all corners of the globe. With a proven track record, a passion for justice and a heart for the poor we equip our students to be servant leaders in the communities they live or work in. We do this by providing the tools, practical knowledge, biblical basis and resources to deliver the most innovative economic development and leadership programs anywhere in the world.
These programs of relevance extend to business and organizations locally and globally, and are based on Christ-centered principles of integrity, excellence and justice.
The MBA in Economic Development & MA in International Development integrates the Christian faith with the latest approaches, tools and skills of economic development theory and practice. This program has been a hallmark of this world-renowned program since its inception, a legacy that is constantly strengthened and renewed by our faculty and staff.
The MS in Nonprofit Management program is a direct response to the needs faced by the nonprofit sector today. Increasing competition in the nonprofit marketplace mandates that if an organization is to remain viable, effective management tools must be developed and utilized. This program is focused on helping present and future leaders of the not-for-profit sector gain solid analytical and problem solving skills unique to nonprofit organizations.
The MA in Organizational Leadership program has been a hallmark program. Delivered around the world to organizations needing to strengthen and prepare their middle management and emerging leaders for the demands of working within their diverse and demanding environments. The US program has relevance for individuals who find themselves seeking or are currently in leadership positions in community, church, civic society, advocacy, business, NGO and non profit settings.
This degree programs can be pursued in the US at our main campus in St. Davids or at our Center City location in Philadelphia. While there are no purely online classes, there is a distance option for students feeling called to the international concentration and who wish to continue working full time.
Eastern's nonprofit management degree and organizational leadership is offered as a weekend residency program. Students meet in class for ten weekends over the course of approximately 22-24 months with research and field based learning in the interim.
With convenient class locations and weekend sessions, working individuals are able to balance their busy work schedules with their classroom agendas. In-class discussions, relationship building between instructors and students, as well as independent research and project development are all attributes of the program. All students enrolled in the MS in Nonprofit Management program will be considered full-time students and in turn are eligible for federally guaranteed student loans.
These have two concentrations from which to choose: an "international" (or "global") concentration and an "urban" concentration. The first concentration prepares students for work around the world. The second concentration prepares students for work in the urban areas of the United States.
These degree programs can be pursued full time or part time. While there are no purely online classes, there is a distance option for students feeling called to the international concentration and who wish to continue working full time.
