The Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Leadership is committed to equip leaders in business, educational, and nonprofit sectors through interdisciplinary studies and original research to effectively engage in the transformation of their organizations, communities, and society as practitioners and scholars.

PROGRAM DELIVERY

Students in the education, business, and nonprofit concentrations will study together through the core curriculum as a cohort. The cohort begins each term with residency instruction, September, January, and May, followed by significant online work and individual instruction. Each term consists of two courses, three terms per year, three years of coursework followed by research for the dissertation.

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

60 Credits

  • 51 credits in core and concentration studies
  • Comprehensive exams
  • 9 credits – dissertation and oral defense

ADMISSIONS CRITERIA

  • Five years of professional experience in a leadership capacity
  • Completed master's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • GRE or MAT
